Despite receiving mixed reviews, one thing that the majority of people agree on is simply how easy it’s to binge the series in one or two sittings.
You season 3 release date:
While an official return date hasn’t been announced just yet, Netflix has confirmed that season three of You will arrive at some point in 2021.
However, co-creator and executive producer Sera Gamble has previously been very vocal about the plans she has for the series, which incorporates a 3rd outing.
You season 3 plot:
Yes, in one (very) fell swoop the whole concept of the show was turned on its head. Joe was put in the perspex box – the very same position that he’d put Beck in at the end of the first season. Shocking?
By the end of the finale, Joe revealed that he’d had his ‘slate wiped clean’ by the “Quinn machine”, effectively letting him off the hook for the terrible crimes he’d committed.
You season 3 cast:
We’d bet all our money on Joe, the SUPER CREEPY central character and narrator, returning. Considering where we left things, we’d also assume his girlfriend Love will be central to any continuation of the story. Dr Nicky (John Stamos) popped up briefly in season two, from behind bars.
There’s every possibility that the ‘real’ Will (Robin Lord Taylor) could play a neighbourhood during a future season, considering he seems to be one among Joe’s only friends. As for Love’s pals – Lucy (Marielle Scott), Sunrise (Melanie Field) and Gabe (Charlie Barnett) – they’re still alive (bonus!) but don’t appear to be aware of Love or Joe’s true natures…
Ellie Alves (Jenna Ortega) can also return in the upcoming season. Armed with information about the Quinn family, the truth about Henderson (Chris D’Elia) and money from Joe.
You season 3 location:
Season two moved to LA, something that Penn Badgley said had a “big effect on the show”.
As for future seasons, the possibilities seem endless. “I remember having a conversation with [executive producer] Greg Berlanti about this,” Penn, who plays Joe, told Digital Spy and other media.
“He was like, ‘You know what? I think we will put you anywhere and therefore the show works. We could put you in Hawaii and it would work’. Maybe that will happen in the fourth season? I’ll keep my fingers crossed!”
Trailers usually land within the month leading up to the premiere, so once we all know the above we’ll have a far better idea.
