Why Prince William and Prince Harry lied about the Diana’s death

Princess Diana was Princess of Wales and a member of the British royal family. She died in a car crash on 31 August 1997 in Paris.
After her death, the whole family was in devastating condition, especially her sons William and Harry. They refused to give any kind of speech about their grief on their mother’s death as they were so small at that time and they didn’t even know how much their mother meant to other people.
But in recent years,it seems like the boys are opening up about their mother in the press
They were just 15 and 12 years old at that time and they were made to follow their mother’s casket to Westminster Abbey …and the whole scenario was so heartbreaking.

What was the thing on which the royal family has lied about?

There was a long discussion about this topic among the Royal fans like if they should have been made to do so? Because walking so long …just after their mother’s death was not so right …they even didn’t get the time to empty all the pain.
According to Princess Diana’s brother, Charles Spencer, the whole royal family lied to him about his nephews. Actually Spencer decided to walk behind his sister’s casket alone and he was against the decision that the little young prince will also do that with him. He revealed that he was lied by the royal family who told him that the young ones wanted do so but that’s obviously was not true.
Even some reports say that prince William has refused to march in the funeral but was convinced by his grandfather.
In the documentary,” Diana 7 days” …it is clearly written that William did not want to do it rather it was the family decision. Even according to Harry it was the cruelest thing that a child has to do who has just recently lost his mother ….but there was no other option rather than doing that. They had to maintain a balance between duty and family.
