Uncorked is a film about a young boy dreaming about being something different and his parents expecting him to follow the family’s traditional business.

The movie is written and directed by Prentice Penny who is famous for his movie ‘Insecure’. With Uncorked Prentice is debuting in direction. The film is produced by Mandalay productions and Netflix will be the streaming partner.
On March 27, 2020, Uncorked will be released on Netflix. Originally it was going to release on March 14, 2020 in a film festival but it got pushed forward due to Corona Outbreak. Now it will hit the screens on 27th March.
What is plot of the movie?
Storyline of the movie revolve around the life of Elijah – a guy who wants to a master sommelier. He is son to the couple owning a barbeque restaurant. The trailer shows that his family wants him to join the family business just like his dad. None of his family member actually considers that being a master sommelier is a real job. The movie is the struggle of a son to choose in between his dreams and family expectations.
Mamoudou Athie played the lead role of Elijah while his mother -Slyvia and father -Louis are played by Niecy Nash and Courtney Vance respectively. Sasha Compere played Elijah’s partner-Tamya. Kelly Jenrette will be seen in the role of Brenda while Meera Rohit Kumbhani I’m the role of Leann.other cast members include Matt McGorry, Gil Ozeri and Bernard David Jones.
