On Sunday morning at 8am,The Oregon Health Authority reported 66 new confirmed positive cases. Now, total 1910 cases have been confirmed in Oregon State as on Sunday. Two deaths have also been reported, bringing a total of 74 deaths because of Covid – 19 virus.
The two deaths that were reported includes a 64 year old man who hailed from Benton County. Reportedly, he was tested positive for the virus on March 26 and was admitted at Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center. The man lost his battle against virus on April 18.
The second death reported was a 68 year old man from Washington County. The man tested positive on March 23 and was admitted at OHSU Hospital. He died on April 11 at the hospital.
The Authority said the both the men had underlying medical conditions. When asked about why it took 8 days to report the 2nd death report about the man from Washington County, the officials said that they received the information on Saturday themselves.
Officials said that the COVID-19 cases reported Sunday are in Clackamas County (7), Deschutes County (1), Lane County (2), Marion County (23), Multnomah County (21), Umatilla County (1) and Washington County (12).
The officials stated that the number of cases are going to increase day by day. They have requested the civilians to come and give their test if they have any travel history or symptoms of the disease.
So far 39,308 Covid – 19 tests have been taken where 37,128 we’re tested negative in the Oregon State of United States of America as reported by the officials from Oregon Health Authority.
