Sophie Grégoire Trudeau, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s wife has successfully recovered from the COVID-19 disease.
“I am feeling so much better,” she said on social media and said that she had received clearance from her doctor as well as the Ottawa Public Health.
It was announced on March 12 that she had tested positive after she fell ill upon returning from London.
As a result, the prime minister and his entire family have been in self quarantine and did not show symptoms.
The PM had been given daily conferences outside his house and on Saturday he said that his wife was now getting better.
“From the bottom of my heart, I want to say thank you to everyone who reached out to me with their well wishes. And to everyone who is suffering right now, I send you all my love,” she said.
The prime also said that he would be working from home to set an example for all the Canadians who are asked to work from home.
