Sony has offered many surprising details regarding its upcoming list of major PlayStation 4 games in the span of roughly 10 minutes on the afternoon of Thursday. This includes the first look at the long-awaited PS4 remake of Final Fantasy VII, which comes after many years of speculation about this game.
The Japanese tech giant has released a new trailer for “Final Fantasy VII Remake”, which is teasing its imminent release with the bold tagline, “The return draws closer.”
Capcom, the Japanese game maker has described the addition to “Monster Hunter World” as a massive expansion pack which will include, among many things a brand new story as well as brand new quests, monsters, and abilities. This PlayStation 4 game is scheduled for release on the 6th of September in 2019.
So, when will the remake of Final Fantasy VII be finally for consumers? That still remains unknown, as Sony has not released a release date for this game yet. This game was first revealed to be in development way back in 2015, and we have failed to hear anything else regarding this game in the last 4 years since its announcement.
But on Thursday afternoon, the latest trailer for this remake was revealed by Sony, alongside further news that more details regarding this game would be revealed in the month of June.
Riverbond, which is a shoot and slash game that appears to be like a pixelated dungeon crawler, is also headed for the PlayStation 4 gaming console and it will be released in the summer of 2019. This game appears to feature guest appearances from characters of other games such as “Shovel Knight.”
At some point in the year of 2020, Sony will release a new “Predator” game. The company has revealed for the first time on its Thursday event about this game, and the game will be called Predator: Hunting Grounds.
The storyline of this game will not follow any of the past “Predator” films, instead it will be a multiplayer-focused game of kill or be killed, and the antagonist of the game will be an invisible alien that has access to super weapons. The game description is as follows:
“You can play as an elite Fire team that has been charged to complete paramilitary operations while there is a Predator which will mercilessly hunt for you. You can also have the option to be the Predator, and you will be armed with all the deadly alien weaponry that you have grown to love and pursue your prey.”
Sony has also revealed that the “Medievil” remake will be released on the date of 25th October. This game first appeared on the PlayStation 1 gaming console in the year of 1998.
Sony will also release a special edition of PlayStation 4 that will be tied to the company’s annual “Days of Play” game sale.
This new special edition gaming console has a swanky and sleek look with a similarly stylish gamepad, and 1 TB of internal storage. This special edition console will only be available in limited quantities when it arrives in the month of June, 2019.
