Sherlock Holmes a very famous detective novel based on a fictional private detective of the same name. The book was written by the British author Sir Arthur Canon Doyle. The book was later converted into a period mystery action film back in 2009. The film was produced by Joel Silver, Susan Downey, Lionel Wigram, Dan Lin and was directed by Guy Ritchie. The film was a huge success and received much acknowledgment amongst the viewers and critics. The story, action sequence, actors performances, costumes design, etc received much praise.
The actor Robert Downey Jr. also received the Gloden Globe for Best Actor in Musical or Comedy.
Sherlock Holmes 3: Release Date
The movie already had two releases, one in 2009 and the other in 2011. The 3rd film of the series was scheduled to release on 22 December 2021. Initially, Warner Bros was set to release the movie on 25 December 2020 but the movie had been now pushed for a whole year and it will now release in the coming year.
It’s already been more than 10 years since the release of the 1st movie. The reasons behind the delay are not known yet but it is believed that due to the busy schedule of the three main players of the movie ( Robert Downey Jr., Director Ritchie, and co-star Jude Law), it had to suffer a huge hold-up. Although, the 3rd movie is been directed by Dexter Fletcher. Nevertheless, the movie is set to release now and just wait for another amazing thing to witness from our favorites.
Sherlock Holmes 3: Cast
The exact confirmation regarding the characters of the movie has not been made yet. But the major information here is that both of the main characters Robert Downey and Jude Law are set to come back for the third movie. This is great news, as we can’t expect the Sherlock Holmes series without their bromance.
Although, the return of Kelly Reilly (Mary, Watson’s wife), Eddie Marsan (Inspector Lestrade), Stephen Fry (Mycroft, Sherlock’s brother) has not been settled yet.
