The undisputed champion of dark humour and popular animated series , Rick and Morty, has been capturing audiences’ attention ever since it started airing in 2013. Intended to be a satirical take on Robert Zemeckis’s 1985 hit Back to the Future, the show has slowly evolved in its own right.

The show deals has often been seen to deal with undertones of depression, teen angst, abandonment issues, self-sabotage, suicidal thoughts and alcoholism among many more.

Renewed for a whopping 70 episodes after Season 3, it is clear that the show will be here to entertain us for a long time. So, let’s have a look at what the future folds for this show.

Rick and Morty Season 5 Air Date

While there’s no sure shot conformation when Season 5 will air, Jerry’s voice actor and SNL veteran Chris Parnell was hopeful about the show’s return for a 5th season. According to the actor, the next season has been partly written and “at least partly storyboarded’ but none of the actors have started recording their lines yet.

Earlier, creators Dan Harmon and Justin Roiland had confirmed that Season 5 would air sometime around April 2020. But, with Season 4 still airing as I write this, the next season is more likely to come out at the end of 2020 as per speculations. However, there is no official confirmation, given the current coronavirus situation.
