Renowned author and Christian preacher Ravi Zacharias has passed away at 74 after losing an ongoing fight with spinal cancer.
The evangelist, who spent the last 48 years of life trying to preach his Christian faith, died at his home in Atlanta. He is survived by his wife Margaret Reynolds, has one son and two daughters.
Doctors had already lost hope saying that there was nothing that could be done. His daughter Sarah had informed everyone of the same.
Zacharias was a fierce advocate of his faith and has also written over 30 books. Some of them include The Grand Weaver, The End of Reason, and Cries of the Heart.
He was born in Chennai (then Madras), India, in 1946 and later moved to Canada in the 1970s, where he began preaching.
He also founded RZIM in the year 1984, which is a Christian society operating globally.
The author traveled around the world to preach Christianity and was a defender of the same throughout his life.
