OreGairu Season 3 Delayed or Cancelled All You Need to Know

Anime constitutes a big part of the animation industry. They are extremely popular to say the least and take up a significant responsibility to influence pop culture. With realistic plotlines and layered characters, anime characters are like humans in a cartoon body.

First originated in Japan with Astro Boy in 1963, they have managed to gain immense popularity in the rest of the world.

Like every year, several releases were also scheduled for this year. Among the lot was popular anime OreGairu or “My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU.”

But, looks like it won’t be happening any time soon. Why? Read onto find out.

Oregairu Season 3 Delayed or Cancelled?

Fans need not get sad as the third season of OreGairu has been delayed, not cancelled. A statement was issued from the official twitter handle of OreGairu, two days before the release of Season 3. It read – “ We are sad to announce that “my youth romantic comedy snafu climax”, which was scheduled to be broadcast from this spring was postponed due to the spread of the new coronavirus. thank you for your understanding.”

As the official statement says, the delay was due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. It has been decided that the last season will be broadcasted in place of the new season, for now.

There is no confirmed date set for the release yet, It is even hard to speculate. One can guess that the upcoming season might be broadcasted after the COVID-19 threat subsides.

Who Will Be in Season 3?

The official cast for Season 3 will be:

  • Hachiman Hikigaya as Takuya Eguchi
  • Yui Yuigahama as Nao Tōyama
  • Saika Totsuka as Mikako Komatsu
  • Hayato Hayama as Takashi Kondō
  • Hina Ebina Voiced by Nozomi Sasaki
  • Yumiko Miura as Marina Inoue
  • Saki Kawasaki  Voiced by Ami Koshimizu
  • Yukino Yukinoshita as Saori Hayami

The rest of the secondary characters, if any, shall be unveiled as the season progresses.
