Before his release, the same cop who he beat is killed. After his release he gets dragged into a conspiracy involving corrupt policemen and machete-wielding gang members. The movie centers on a mystery that expands as Spenser digs deeper into it. Spencer teams up with his striving MMA fighter roommate Hawk to uncover the conspiracy involving the two police officer’s deaths.
