The Mandalorian — first-ever live-action TV series set within the vast Star Wars universe, just landed their two new directors for the upcoming Season 2. Jon Favreau, yet again bringing some big names to the Mandalorian franchise.
Robert Rodriguez, the man accountable for bringing in some of the best action movies (Alita: The Battle Angel, Machete, Sin City) and Peyton Reed (Ant-Man, Ant-Man and the Wasp ), who’s already been hired to direct the next Ant-Man movies for Marvel, both took to Twitter to confirm they will be directing some episodes of The Mandalorian Season 2.

While Rodriguez can be seen posing with our baby Yoda, who is no doubt “the biggest star of the universe” as he tweeted, Reed simply shared a director’s chair with Din Djarin’s helmet rested on it.

It would be great to see what these two will bring to the set considering The Mandalorian, has been a huge hit and fans would want more from it, without any fall in any part of the show. But these are some pretty big names up there.
Other directors of the highly anticipated season 2 include the producer Jon Favreau and actor Carl Weathers, Rick Famuwiya and Dave Filoni. Relevant story specifics of season 2, of course, remain closely under wraps, but it appears to be all but reported that Rosario Dawson is joining the Disney+ show as the first live-action depiction of Ahsoka Tano. Whatever may be the case but we as fans are always eager to see more of her in further episodes.
When Will The Mandalorian Season 2 Be Released?
As of now, there has been no teaser released for the Scifi Saga, even though the filming has been wrapped up. Unlike Season 1, it won’t come out until October 2020 but we can’t be sure because the current pandemic can shift the date further. But since the filming is over we could be confirmed that it would air in 2020 for sure.
What Is Disney Gallery: The Mandalorian?
Disney Gallery: The Mandalorian, is a documentary on the creation of the Star Wars series. Its first episode premiered on Star Wars Day (May the 4th), centred on the directors who offered their creativity to the Season 1 episodes of the hit series.
Till there’s a further announcement regarding the smash hit series, in the meantime we can always rewatch the show again or binge-watch it, if you are a superfan. Or, you can watch the docu-series.
