Lord of the Rings AMAZON TV Cast and Release Date Everything We Know so Far

The Lord of the Rings is a very famous epic fantasy adventure novel written by J.R.R. Tolkien. It was later being converted into a film series having three parts, directed by Peter Jackson and produced and distributed by New Line Cinema with the co-production of WingNut Films. Those films were subtitled as:

1st – The Fellowship of the Ring (2001)

2nd – The Two Towers (20020

3rd – The Return of the King (2003)

The film featured Liv Tyler, Elijah Wood, Sean Astin, Ian McKellen, Viggo Mortensen, Cate Blanchett, Billy Boyd, and many more amazing actors.

Lord of the Rings Expected Release Date?

There’s been talk about the release of this famous novel ‘The Lord of the Rings’, to release at least 5 seasons of this in TV series and the rights were won by the Amazon Studios to produce it back in November 2017. Yes! my lovely fans you heard it right, this super amazing fantasy series is going to come back almost after a decade after the release of their films. Clearly, we just can’t get enough of this epic story and can watch this fantastic Oscar-winning series again and again whether it is on the silver or small screen.

According to the reports as announced by Amazon Studios, the production on the series had to start in 2020 itself, keeping in mind the huge scale of this series, it is going to take for the shooting and post-production work before they episodes go on air. But due to the whole world pandemic, the shooting has been stopped until any further notice and most probably will resume only after looking at the safety of every member.

Lord of the Rings: Cast of the Series

The main lead character was supposed to be played by Bandersnatch star Will Poulter, only before it was being reported that he had to withdraw his role due to the scheduling conflict, and hence the role went to Robert Aramayo, the guy who played the character of young Ned Stark on one of the most famous series Game of Thrones.

The villain role will be reportedly played by Joseph Mawle, but unfortunately, it has not been confirmed yet. In January 2020, Amazon announced the full main cast and the names are Ismael Cruz, Tom Budge, Owain Arthur, Morfydd Clark, Nazanin Boniadi, Megan Richards, and etc.
