LeBron James Shares a Video of Colorado’s Capitol Were Thousands of Protesters Chanting “I Can’t Breathe.”

The death of George Floyd has brought a lot of people coming together against the heinous deed done by the Minneapolis police officers. From common man to high profile celebrities; the entire United States has supported George Floyd after the tragedy that has turned out to be none better than the pandemic itself.

Recently the Lakers legend, LeBron James has shared a video on his Twitter, which showed thousands of protesters lying with the face down and hands in the back, chanting, “I can’t breathe” which were the exact words of George Floyd while he kneeled upon his neck to death. 

The 35-year-old star wrote, “Media showing this???? I bet you they’re not. 🤦🏾‍♂️! You know why, cause this is unity, peaceful, beautiful and love!”. 

The sight of the protesters silently protesting might be beautiful to behold but the reasons are not. The protesters chanted the last words of George Floyd for 9 minutes which is equal to the duration for which the police officer Derek Chauvin kneeled on George Floyd.

The entire nation is heartbroken with the tragedy that has shifted the attention of the people during the difficult times of pandemic. The supporters are forced to come out to support the strong cause because staying silent is not an option anymore. 

The video has got 10.5 million views since then with 93.8K followers retweeting the video to make share it as much as possible because the media won’t show these things, as James said. 

Not only on twitter, but James also supported the cause through his Instagram saying, “If YOU ain’t wit the US, WE ain’t with Y’ALL!.” Captioning the photo with some emojis which meant together we are strong.

However, this is not the first time LeBron James has stood up for the racial discrimination back in 2016 ESPYS in Los Angeles. 

Protests Have Turned to Riots

The protest that has been turning to riots at many places since the death of George Floyd. The police are targetted in multiple areas with damage to the police stations, broken windows and burning police cars have become common. The situation has gone worse since then forcing the local government to announce curfew in the area violent protest. Among these disturbing scenes, some have come forward in a peaceful way to spread positivity and avoid violence.
