It seems like Netflix is in love with Korean dramas. The fantasy horror series Kingdom is coming back with season 2 on Netflix on 13th march.
Kingdom is the first Korean series by netflix. The series is based on the webcomic ‘Land of Gods’ or ‘Kingdom of the Gods’ by Kim Eun Hee. The webcomic is draw by Yang Kyung il.
Plot of the Kingdom
The story is set in Jonseon period in Korea. It revolves around the events in the life of Lee Chang – Crown Prince of the Korea. Political conspiracies built around him forces him to leave the capital. King who is severally ill is getting treated in mansion when the events happen. Prince Chang investigates the man who treated his father and the king only to find that doctor has developed a mysterious plague that makes people flesh eating. Zombies. Story revolves around the struggle of Prince Chang to stop the epidemic and save his country from dangerous flesh eating zombies.
What will happen in season 2 ?
In season two zombie’s have evolved and overcome their weakness for daylight. Where in first season they could only come out during night and go back to sleep when sun comes out. Now they can attack even in broad sunlight.
Release date of the show
The first season of the kingdom released on 25th January 2019. Netflix announced renewal for a second season. Filming of first season was started in February 2019 and the show was supposed to air in January 2019. On March 13, 2020 second season of the kingdom will be premiered on Netflix.
