Two members of Robert F Kennedy’s family have gone missing on April 2 which include Kathleen Kennedy Townsend’s daughter and eight-year-old grandson. Governor Larry Hogan announced the news that both of them got missing from the Chesapeake Bay in Maryland where they went for boating.
Governor Hogan expressed his sympathies for the Kennedy family and told that intensive search operation is underway from April 4. Maeve Kennedy Townsend McKean Townsend’s daughter and her 8-year-old son were playing in the yard of their house on Thursday afternoon when it was kicked into the water and thus to trace the ball they got into a canoe in the Chesapeake Bay which is near their home to in order to retrieve a ball but could not return back.
According to Maryland authorities, they have recovered an overturned canoe which matches the description of Kennedy’s canoe. The coast guard also shared important information about the two and have informed that the two were seen struggling to return to the shore in a canoe. The day they went missing was a windy day and the wind was blowing at a speed of 40 MPH in the D.C. area. Helicopters and boat rescue crews are working 24 hours to find them but have not been successful yet.
