Classic NBC sitcom, which is loved by many till this date, F.R.I.E.N.D.S was coming back to celebrate their 25th anniversary with a reunion special. The iconic cast of the show were to comeback to help kick start the new streaming platform from Warner Media.
The streaming app is going to launch this year, May 2020. But alas, the fans are not that lucky. The reunion special of F.R.I.E.N.D.S has been delayed. Here’s all the updates behind the delaying of the special.
Shooting for the Reunion Special to happen in March
Courtney Cox, who plays the role of Monica Geller, said that the production of the special was supposed to be filmed on March 23 and March 24, 2020. But amidst the pandemic crisis that has took over the world by storm, they has to halt the shooting.
The Reunion Special will feature all behind the scenes footages and clippings from the past ten seasons of the sitcom. We don’t know when the shooting will happen.
Cast, Director and Executive Producers
The Special will be directed by Ben Winston, who also is the executive producer of this special. Joining him would be the original executive producers of the sitcom, Marta Karffman, Kevin Bright and David Crane.
In the cast, Jennifer Aniston, Lisa Kudrow, Courtney Cox, Matt LeBlanc, David Schwimmer and Matthew Perry.
There was no specific release date announced by the makers, but it was sure that the special would release somewhere in May with the streaming service, HBO Max. All the ten seasons of sitcom with a total of 236 episodes would be available on the service.
