Created by David Guggenhein, the story revolves around a secretary who was abruptly chosen as President under different circumstances. The series parent network was ABC network. On ABC , the series released first two seasons, whereas Netflix got the rights and released the third season.

On September 21, 2016 , the hit American political drama series got telecasted on the parent network ABC. As of now there are no announcements made by Netflix regarding season 4.
