Boycott Eros Now Trends After Hurting Religious Sentiments

#Boycotterosnow has been trending on twitter after hurting the religious sentiments in India. Many people have lashed out on Eros Now for making fun of the Navratri festival. We all know Navratri is going on now in India.  So many people are celebrating this festival all over the country.

Recently Eros Now had tweeted a series of memes and vulgar tweets. They had posted memes such as Katrina Kaif wearing a wet yellow saree with backless blouse and the picture says ‘Do you want to put the ‘ratri’ in my Navratri?’, there was one more in which Salman Khan is saying ‘You need a dandi to play dandiya – I have one.’ There were so many memes like this. One of the memes also  was like ‘Let’s have some majama in my pajama.’ where Ranveer Singh was satnding and staring. The picture was from his Ramleela movie. The tweet that came along for that was ‘Be naughty, sweet toh mithai bhi hai.’ with a devil laughing emoji.

Not only on twitter but also on their official Instagram page, they posted memes using celebrities talking such vulgar things. After receiving so much hate, Eros Now had deleted their tweets and post from Instagram. They released an apology statement on their social media account saying, “To all those concern, We at Eros love and respect our cultures equally. It is not, and it has never been, our intention to hurt anyone’s emotions. We have deleted the concerned post and we apologies for having offended anybody’s sentiments. Thanking You, Team Eros Now.”

Many people are accusing the new CEO of Eros Now because since he has taken over the position, there have been many tweets and post like this which are against Hindus. The main reason they are accusing him is because he is a Muslim guy name Ali Hussein.
