Akon and 6IX9INE are Planning to Make a ‘Locked Up’ Sequel All We Know So Far

The singing legend Akon has had a widely successful career. His career has spanned over decades and it is safe to say that he is not new to the glitz and glamour of Hollywood. He has had a huge fan base and has been seen collaborating with many successful artists.

The artist has been in the news for all good reasons rather than bad these days. His charity for underprivileged children in Africa, Konfidence Foundation, has been doing commendable work. Apart from this, he is also associated with Peace One Day and Barbara Davis Center for Childhood Diabetes, among others.

But this time, he is in the news for a somewhat controversial reason.

What Did He Do?

Akon is reportedly collaborating with notorious rapper 6ix9ine, on a song from his upcoming album. The song will reportedly be a remix of Akon’s 2004 hit “Locked Up.” It will not be wrong to call it a sequel.

The pair took to social media to let fans know about the developments.

“Locked Up ” Sequel: Everything We Know So Far

There is no confirmed release date for the song. Though the artists made the announcements, they did not talk about any specific dates.

The song is probably an aftermath of Akpn declining a donation of $200,000 for the children’s charity No Kod Hungry, made by 6ix9ine. There is no reported reason as to why this donation was declined.

That is all the information we can get for you now.
