The teen drama series which started with the story of Hannah Baker and Clay Jensen was first premiered on March 31, 2017. Since then we have got four seasons of ’13 Reasons Why’. The dark series is based on the novel of the same name written by Jay Asher.
The critics were quite amazed by the portrayal of such sensitive subjects and featured a lot of mature content throughout some of which were disturbing. Having its share of controversy the cult drama enjoyed its success with its likable audience group.
The fourth season of the Netflix drama will be releasing on June 5. Reports say that it would be the last season of 13 Reasons Why. We would see the last of the familiar faces of Liberty High. To confirm this Netflix released a goodbye clip featuring the stars of the show.
Will there be Season 5 of 13 Reasons Why?
Unfortunately, for the fans who loved the show, there won’t be a season 5. The showrunner Brian Yorkley confirmed the same in an interview with the Entertainment Weekly. He says sit seems fair to end the show here as the character arc for all characters is concluding in season 4.

That seems fair as high school is for 4 years so it would be logical to end this now. Starting on a high its popularity has gradually decreased over the years and the seasons are not that gripping as the previous ones. Season 1 was the most excellent of them all by far which gathered a fair share of fans.
There Has Been Backlash Over the Show in the Past
There’s no denying the fact that it is one of the most controversial shows on Netflix. It created a whole lot of buzz when it released its first season. The visuals were graphic and touched upon sensitive topics such as teen suicide, sexual assault, bullying, depression, PTSD, and whatnot. There’s a whole lot of mental issues depicted there which was not liked by many who stood against the show. The visuals were easily meant to affect the viewers so the showrunners even added precaution before each episode.
